Cookie Policy
Last updated: 30 May 2026
This page explains the cookies and similar storage that less-work.com uses, what they do, and how you can control them. It also lists third-party services we load on the page that do not set cookies but do receive your IP address when your browser fetches them, because honesty about that is part of doing this properly. For broader context, see our Privacy Policy.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored by your browser when you visit a website. They let the site remember your preferences, keep things working across pages, and (where you allow it) measure how the site is used.
1. Strictly necessary
These are needed for the site to work. They cannot be switched off.
-
cc_cookie: stores your cookie-consent choices (which categories you allowed). Set by us. Expires after 6 months.
2. Analytics, off by default
Set only after you accept analytics in the cookie banner. We use Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymisation enabled and advertising features disabled.
-
_ga: distinguishes unique users. Set by Google Analytics. Expires after 2 years. -
_ga_<container-id>: keeps session state for the GA4 property. Set by Google Analytics. Expires after 2 years. -
_gid: distinguishes users for a 24-hour window. Set by Google Analytics. Expires after 24 hours. -
_gat: throttles request rate. Set by Google Analytics. Expires after 1 minute.
3. Third-party requests that reveal your IP
A few resources on the page are loaded from third-party servers. They do not set cookies on this domain, but the act of loading them transmits your IP address and user agent to the operator. We list them here for full transparency.
- Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com, fonts.gstatic.com): we use the Inter font family. Your browser fetches the font files from Google, which receives your IP address. The German regional court of Munich (LG München I, 2022) found that remote loading of Google Fonts without consent can violate GDPR. We are tracking a site update to self-host Inter and remove this transmission entirely; until then, this disclosure stands as your notice.
- jsDelivr (cdn.jsdelivr.net, served via Cloudflare and Fastly): the cookie consent banner library is loaded from this CDN. Your IP address is transmitted to the CDN operator when the page loads.
- Cal.com (app.cal.com): embedded only on the contact page for booking a discovery call. When the embed loads, Cal.com receives your IP address and may set its own cookies under their privacy policy.
How to opt out
- The cookie banner appears on your first visit. Choose Only necessary to refuse analytics. This is the primary control.
-
To change your mind later, clear the
cc_cookieentry in your browser and reload the page. The banner reappears. - To block Google Fonts loading, use a browser extension that blocks third-party requests to fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com. The site will fall back to your system serif/sans-serif stack.
- To opt out of Google Analytics across all sites, install Google's browser opt-out add-on.
- You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings directly.
Changes
We will update this page when our practices change. The "last updated" date above always reflects the current version.
